Do not be Turned Back

Ellis Island was the chief immigration station in the United States from 1892 to 1954. Many who came here had spent everything they had to get passage to the new country. Many suffered horrible conditions at sea, some dying on the way.

When the excited immigrants finally arrived at Ellis Island, they were filled with dreams of living in this new country, but for some, it never happened. Due to sickness and disease, they were turned back to the land they had come from.

Sadly, Ellis Island will not be the only place of shock and disappointment. Many believe, for one reason or another, that they are going to Heaven, but sadly, in a coming day, they too will be turned back. They will hear Jesus say, “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:23

Read your Bible and see how you can be sure that our sins are forgiven and that you will never be turned back from Heaven. Start by reading the Gospel of John. Ask God to help you see the way of salvation by faith.

“By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8-9
