An Awesome Climax to one more perfect day but tomorrow, what will it bring?

Has life in our “global village” ever been more uncertain? Survival is the “name of the game” – some struggle to find food and water to exist another day, while others just try to cope with 24 more hours in life’s fast lane. Do we just hope for the best; “eat and drink, for tomorrow we die” (1Corinthians 15:32)? Or is there an unseen strategist with an unchanging plan and timetable?

GOD’S PLAN

The Bible is God’s written and lasting Word. “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away” (Mark 13:31). It details hundreds of predictions that came true with absolute precision.

God has a master plan for you and for our world which He is executing – right down to the tiniest detail. What about God’s timetable for tomorrow?

Armageddon the Apocalypse, and the End of the World are all current expressions people grapple with the turmoil of our times. Centuries ago, the friends of Jesus expressed their concerns about the signs of His coming and the end of the Age (Matthew 24:3). Combining Jesus’ answer with numerous Old and New Testament Bible verses, we are given a clear picture of definite future events. Some of these events in sequence will include:-

  • The Rapture: the sudden return of Christ to take all saved people to Heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
  • The Tribulation: a 7-year period of unprecedented violence and suffering (Matthew 24:4-28)
  • The Millennium: the 1000-year reign of Christ – peace and joy on earth (Isaiah 35:1-7).
  • The Great White Throne: Christ’s final judgment of unbelievers from all ages (Revelation 20:11-15)

YOUR PREPARATION

The impact of these events on you depends on your relationship with God. Where do you stand with God today? The Bible explains that sin has caused a wide separation between you and a holy God (Isaiah 59:2). Your sins must be forgiven.

There is only “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1Timothy 2:5).

Jesus, God’s eternal Son, willingly died on the cross and accepted the punishment for sin. As a sinner, you must accept by faith that His death for your sins is the only pathway back to God. With sins forgiven, you are made righteous, ready to be in God’s presence for all eternity.

Are you prepared for tomorrow? The Bible repeatedly emphasises that each individual must make preparation in advance of these coming events. To be ready is a matter of the highest priority. “Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh. (Matthew 24:44)
