God says, “Your good deeds are filthy rags in my sight.”  This verse is from the Book of Isaiah 64:6 from both the Catholic and Protestant bibles. Note, he says this about your good deeds, not your bad deeds. So why do so many believe their good deeds will merit a place in His heaven? But he doesn’t leave us without the answer.
